Solutions for Wifi connection issues and USB Tethering issues in Phoenix OS while playing PUBG Mobile
Since then PUBG Mobile is so popular everyone is searching for an alternative for Tencent Gaming Buddy, official PUBG Mobile emulator. Because Tencent Gaming Buddy is using so much resources which make it useless for low end PCs and Laptops. We wrote an article on Best Emulator for PUBG Mobile for low end PCs and Laptops. Here the current winner is Phoenix OS. The PrimeOS will once beat Phoenix OS after fixing some bugs.
Even though Phoenix OS is the best there are some bugs which make it difficult while playing a game like

- Wifi is not visible in search results
- Wifi disconnects while playing
- USB Tethering issues (Cable not connected)
- High noise in Mic
Some of this issues can be fixed permanently, while some issues will repeat after some time. To fix the issues follow the instructions below.
Install Phoenix OS in ext4 drive through a bootable disk/usb drive (Do not use windows Installer)
We published an article on How to install Phoenix OS in an ext4 drive. Follow those instructions to install. Installing Phoenix OS on ext4 drive make it much smoother sine there is no need of disk image for data.
Wifi not visible/ Disconnects in Phoenix OS
Some old wifi routers are not supported by Ubuntu and Androidx86 projects. Sometimes this issue is due to incompatible Wifi adapters present in your laptop. The better way is do not connect Phoenix OS with your Wifi. Instead use Ethernet cable connection or USB Tethering. Because even though you connect Wifi with your phoenix OS you will loss connection while playing a game. For a game like PUBG INTERNET connection is very important.
USB Tethering Issues ( Cable not connected)
For playing PUBG mobile through laptop many prefers to connect Internet through your mobile using USB Tethering method. The advantage of connecting Phoenix OS through cable is that you will never loss your Internet connection while playing.
But sometimes you will see a message like USB cable not found. The only way to resolve these issues is as follows
- Connect your Smatrphone after loading Phoenix OS
- Turn on USB tethering in your smartphone
- After waiting for 5 seconds open settings in Phoenix OS, then Ethernet, then turn off Ethernet options and Turn it on again. It will say cable connected in 50 % of the time.
- If you found cable not connected. Restart your laptop and boot into Windows. After booting windows restart again and boot Phoenix OS. Repeat the steps.
- If still the issue continues, repeat the restarting procedure once again.
- You should repeat this steps until successful connection. Because if you use WiFi connection at some point WiFi will automatically disconnects.
Ethernet Connection
There is no issues on Ethernet connection in Phoenix OS. You will be connected to Internet in the first attempt itself. So the best way to play PUBG Mobile on Phoenix OS is by connecting it through Ethernet Cable.

ReplyDeleteTry to turn off Ethernet connection from Phoenix OS Settings and turn it on again. You can also try to install bug free android OS like Prime OS . I am now playing PUBG Mobile from Prime OS since there are so many issues in Phoenix OS.
