Moto G4 Plus and Moto Z Play Uses Same 16 MP Camera Sensor Which is better

In terms of camera both of them is having 16 MP Camera sensor. So definitely a question will arise whether Moto G4 Plus and Moto Z Play uses the same Camera sensor or Not. So lets check it out

Motorola's Camera were mot good until Moto X 3rd Generation release. Now Moto G4 plus a new Mid range smartphone with 16 MP camera sensor at a price tag of Rs 15000 is released. The Camera was Good for the price tag and scored a DXoMark score of 84, considering the highest score scored until was 89 (Google pixel costs Rs 56000, 4 times higher price than G4 Plus). Recently Motorola announced Moto Z play with Moto Mods with 16 MP Rear camera at a price tag of Rs 25000. Moto Z Play will be compatible with all Moto Mods currently available in the market and upcoming moto mods.
Specification wise Moto Z Play is in the upper Mid range category.
In terms of camera both of them is having 16 MP Camera sensor. So definitely a question will arise whether Moto G4 Plus and Moto Z Play uses the same Camera sensor or Not. So lets check it out. From GSMArena it has given that Moto G4 Plus is using a 16 MP OmniVision Camera Sensor with 1.3 um pixel size with f/2.0 aperture. But in the official Motorola website it is not included in the camera specification. But Moto Z Play Camera specification from Motorola website gives it uses a 16 MP camera with 3 um Pixel size,and didn't mentioned which sensor is used. But from the Specifications given 16 MP with 1.3 um pixel size for both Moto G4 Plus and Moto Z Play we have to conclude that they are sharing the same OmniVision Camera Sensor.
So Why the price difference of Rs 10000 and whether this price difference makes any sense? Of course yes because

Moto Z play is using a better processor SD625 compared to SD617 used in Moto G4 plus
it uses better design language compared to Moto G4 plus
it is compatible with all Moto Mods as the Flagship Z models
Has better SLOMO Videos 720p at 120 fps
Better Video recording capabilities 4K Videos at 30 fps
front facing flash compared to display flash in Moto G4 Plus
Professional Mode for Front camera

Even though these specs making sense it will be nice if it uses SD650 instead of SD625. Because you can grab Oneplus 3 by paying just Rs 3000 more which uses SD 820 or Pay Rs 2000 less for Xiaomi Mi5 which uses SD820 and pay half for Xiaomi Note 3 which uses SD650.
