Here is a Simple tips to Avoid Extra Charges from ATM in India for Checking Balance in Account or to Check whether money is credited in to your account

Most of the Indians are not using Online and Offline methods to avoid extra charges from your Bank accounts in India. After the demonetization the ATM charges are back again if you use your ATM card more than five times in a month. in Most of the time people are using ATM card for simply checking their balance or to check whether the money sent by someone is credited in their accounts. The sad fact is that whether you checked your balance through ATM machine or withdraw money from it, your bank will count in for the five transaction limits. So if you check your account balance 5 times in a month the bank will charge you from 10 to 25 Rupees.

• Don't check your account balance using ATM. Instead you can use Free mobile applications from the bank. For example SBI offers "State Bank Anywhere" Internet banking mobile application for free. In the same way Federal bank offers FedMobile. this feature requires Internet connection
• If you don't have any Internet connection while you are traveling, you can use Missed call banking. You can give a missed call to your bank (Missed call banking Number) to get the balance in your account or the mini statements. SBI offers a Mobile application came with it's missed call banking numbers known as "SBI Quick". you can find the numbers for your bank from their website.
• You can dial *99# using your mobile phone (Any Mobile phone with registered number at Bank) and check the balance of your bank account.
• Use Your Banks Mobile Application for Money Transfer : By using your banks own money transferring application will reduce cash. For example Transferring money from FedMobile, Federal bank's mobile application is Free. So you can easily transfer money using IMPS through the FedMobile application. In the same way you can use your own bank's mobile application for cash transfer.
• Pay Using ATM swiping machine : If your money is in your bank account and you want to purchase or eat food, if the shop has POS machine use it instead of taking cash from your ATM and paying it at the Shop
• Withdraw money at Once : Instead of withdrawing money multiple times in a month, withdraw all the money you require in a month at the first time itself. You have to forecast your months cost and withdraw all the money at the beginning of each month.
• Keep your Savings Balance Above Rs 10000 : If your savings account balance is too low the Bank will take small amounts each year by saying ATM card charge, SMS charge etc. But if you keep a balance above 10000, the will not charge you for these services. In my case I have a Federal bank account and SBI account and keep my balance above 5000 in each account. Only 1 rupees is taken from my account each year by Federal bank
