Now Facebook is showing Ads in the Middle of a Video shared on YouTube which will eventually generate Revenue for the Publisher
As everybody knows Youtube is the best place for publishers where publishers get paid for their content by showing ads at the start of the video or in the middle of the video. When Facebook came forward with videos in their social platform everybody said that their is no profits for publishers in Facebook videos. All the videos shared in Facebook are downloaded from YouTube which makes no profit for the real creator of the video.
But Now Facebook has announced that Ads will be shown in between a video, which gives a 55% revenue share to the publisher. The video ads are now testing by Facebook. At present the publishers in US are eligible to test the video ads in their videos.
But today I have seen a video ad in Facebook video from India. The ad was just 14 seconds in length and it started showing at the end of the video. Before showing the video a timer will be shown in the video saying that the video will be continued after the advertisement.
YouTube will be in trouble if Facebook Video ads are announced to all. Even though everyone search videos in YouTube, Facebook videos are seen by sharing by facebook users. Since Google plus users are very rare sharing youtube videos in Google Plus doesn't have any impact compared to Videos shared in Facebook.
As in the YouTube facebook doesn't have any copyright issues. That is most of the videos shared by people or page in facebbok are not created by themselves. They are sharing these videos by downloading videos from YouTube. This videos ad announcement will lead to a huge copyright issues between YouTube users and Facebook users.
