Tutorial : Freezing Rain Drops
Plugins Used : Trapcode form
After Effects Version : CS5.5 and above
Requirements : Video footage shot by yourself in which rain has to be froze. The video can be anything like the sample provided in the tutorial. Use High end mobile camera or DSLR to shoot video
Video Shooting Tip : While shooting video for this tutorial make sure you are moving your camera in only one direction and the object(Person) stands in the ground for better result. You can shoot in 25fps in 1920x1080 p resolution.
Try to reduce shakes in your video. If your video is shaky you can stabilize the video using After Effects and do the rest of the steps as in the video. But stabilizing video in After Effects is time consuming since you have to render great effects using Trapcode Form.
You can use Steadicam for your DSLR to reduce shake or enable digital stabilization in your Smartphone.
