Moto Z2 Play has been Launched in India for 27999/- Will you buy Moto Z2 Play over Moto Z Play or Exchange Z Play to Get Z2 Play Read more
Recently Moto Z2 Play is announced in India will little upgraded hardware and downgraded battery. So everyone will think whether they have to exchange their Moto Z Play to get the second generation Moto Z2 Play. Whether it require this higher pricing.
We Indian people are always comparing the smartphone price with the US Market and UK Market by calculating the exchange rate. When Moto Z Play is launched, it is priced 450$ unlocked in US which approximately converts to 30000 INR at that time. But when it launched in India it reduced to 24999 INR. Which is 5000 INR less than that of the US market. So Motorola (Lenovo) Knows that people will not buy a Mid range smartphone at a huge price tag of 30000. Because flagship smartphone Oneplus 3 was available at 27999 at that time. I bought this first generation Moto Z Play mainly because of its price. When it is launched there was huge discounts for the phone like exchange offers. I got Rs. 3500 for my 3 Years old Sony Xperia M Dual smartphone. So I am unable to lose this offer and ordered the phone on the first day it is available.
Its not even an year since I bought the phone. I loved it very much. Especially the battery life. Even though I switch on the Mobile data and GPS, the battery will last more than a day. But it will not be possible in case of the second generation moto Z Play
Camera: Company says it uses a 12 MP dual pixel Camera and 1.7 aperture compared to 16MP, 2.0 aperture in first generation. There will be some quality improvement and low light capabilities in the second generation phone. But that doesn't make me think to upgrade my phone by getting only 8500 for my old smartphone.
Battery : Big Disappointment
RAM : I am a moderate user. By installing greenify, Free RAM in my phone is still more than 1.5GB. So I doesn't need 4GB RAM
Storage : Since my phone has a dedicated slot for extra memory I never though of 64GB Internal
There is no upgrade offer for the old Moto Z play users. Flipkart is only offering 8500 Rs for Moto Z Play first generation.
