Google Input Tools or Google IME for Windows is one of the most used Local language typing software used by many people. Previously there are three versions of that, one online typing software, one as chrome extension and one for Windows Software. Now input tools for Windows has been revoked for some days. The url for windows version returns a 404 error page.
Google IME for Windows is a widely used local language typing software like Malayalam, Hindi, Chinese, Tamil etc with ease. But it is now not available to download. Since it is downloaded online an offline setup for previous versions are not available either.
The only good news is that one who already downloaded the software will be able to use Google IME for Windows in future. But new users cannot download it from Google. If you format your OS you will not be able to download the software again. So be careful before formating your Windows Software.
The reason to revoke windows version of Google IME is not revealed by Google for now. May be its for using their online version and Chrome extension. There by increasing the use of Chrome browser.
