What is SEO? Understand the Basics of SEO as a Starter for Blogger and WordPress Websites and Make it Visible to Search Results

If you are in my Website by searching on various search engines for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) or SEO Tricks you can definitely use the tricks I have used here to get good traffic. I have been in the world of blogging for around 4 years. But It is only about one year I started blogging seriously. In these four years even though I wrote big grammatical errors in my blog some of my blog posts are appearing in the front page of Google. But the funny fact is that I didn't tried big SEO tricks to get rank first in Google or any other Search Engines. But I am getting regular traffic for those posts. But then I analyzed those posts and compared it with SEO tricks. The findings are listed below.

• Google and other Search Engines are continuously updating their algorithms to determine what a user is searching for and what is the best result for those searches
• To get a good content Search engine bots are regularly checking all the website contents
• If a duplicate content or image is found by the Search engine bots it will automatically unlist those pages from the first search result.

So what can you do to get Good traffic for your blog posts from Blogger and WordPress sites ?

1. As everyone says "Content is the King", If your blog posts are unique and rich text contents Your blog post is the King. In my case people are mainly visiting my website through searching on Google, and the most visits are from one search keyword "Vaio Hotspot". When I tried to create a WiFi hotspot for my mobile through my Vaio laptop it was really hard to get a solution online and Mosst of the software/methods are not good. Finally I got a solution for it and it worked for me and I created a post on "How to create WiFi hotspot in Vaio". All the texts and images I used in that post is written and edited by me and the first search result shown in Google for the keyword "Vaio Hotspot" is mine from videoadept.com. you can try it by yourself in google :)
2. Make Rich Texts in your Post : Your post should contain more texts than pictures and other html scripts in your blog. When your content is strong and rich with texts, you will get more organic visitors. Let us take the same example mentioned above. In that post a detailed instruction is given with rich texts and some images.
3. Give "Alt texts" for your images in a post. Alt texts are used for uploaded images to tell search engine bots that the image is related to some keyword. For example when you try to tell about my website "VideoAdept", you can upload an image about my website like my logo or a video icon etc. After that you have to tell the search engine bots that this image was related to the keyword "VideoAdept" so that whenever someone search for "VideoAdept" your uploaded images will be visible in image search. So they are redirected to your website through image search
   For best results use keywords in your image alt text
4. Make SEO Titles. You have to use the most searched keywords related to your content in your title. If it is a post related to after effects Tutorial you can use "After Effects Tutorial - Create Particle Effects Without Plugins". Because the most searched keyword related to After effects is "After effects Tutorial" and the tutorial video is about creating Particle effects without any external plugins. this way you have to decide which keywords should use in your Title
   
5. Keywords in Post: As in the Title your content should contain your keywords. As in the above example the main keywords like " After Effects", "Free After Effects Template", "After Effects Tutorial", ""Particle Effects" etc should be included in your post.
6. Optimise Search Description : You can create a short description of your post contents in search description with all your search keywords as a sentence. This description will be shown in search results by all search engines including Google.
   
7. Keywords in Link : You have to use your best keywords in the link address as shown in the above picture. When people search for "Vaio hotspot" vaio and hotspot are shown in bold letters which makes your post Search engine friendly

1. Mark up contents using Microdata : Your web pages have an underlying meaning that people understand when they read the web pages. But search engines have a limited understanding of what is being discussed on those pages. By adding additional tags to the HTML of your web pages—tags that say, "Hey search engine, this information describes this specific movie, or place, or person, or video"—you can help search engines and other applications better understand your content and display it in a useful, relevant way. Microdata is a set of tags, introduced with HTML5, that allows you to do this.
