Before the Windows 10, Microsoft's licensing was different. Windows XP has Serial Numbers. In Windows 7 Laptop and Computer manufacturing company included OEM Licensing in which you will get Pre installed windows PC/Laptop. When it comes to Windows 8 Serial numbers are gone. 4. Then go to All settings > Update and Recovery > Activation
5. The Window will say this copy of windows is not activated

7. Login to Microsoft account if it asks
8. Select your Device from the list

Reactivating Windows 10 After Changing Laptop or PC

When your Motherboard of your Laptop fails it is really hard to get a new motherboard with the same configuration. You can't install a new motherboard with different configuration or laest configuration because laptop motherboard is manufacturing in that way.
